Crude oil prices declined by 1.13pc to Rs4303 per barrel on Wednesday, as speculators indulged in reducing holdings amid a weakening trend overseas.
On Multi Commodity Exchange or MCX, crude oil for May month delivery fell by 1.13pc, or Rs49/-to Rs4,303/barrel in a business volume of 17,840 lots.
Oil for June month delivery also declined by 1.19pc or Rs52/- to Rs4331/barrel in 2,164 lots.
The WTI crude oil slipped 0.91pc to USD61.22, while Brent crude declined 0.38pc to USD70.97/barrel in the NYMEX.
