NSE’s 25 Years of Milestone, Initiates Rebranding Exercise 

Country’s largest equity Exchange, National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE), has initiated on a re-branding exercise, as per reports of Hindu Business Line. Having begun NSE’s journey 25 years ago, the bourse may introduce a new logo for it, on the occasion of 25th years of its listing, the Silver Jubilee event, which falls on August 8. The ceremony is to be attended by Shri Ram Nath Kovind, the President of India.

Rebranding is the process of changing the corporate image of an organization. Rebranding is a market strategy of giving a new name, symbol, or change in design for an already established brand. The rebranding creates a different identity from its competitors in the market.

The National Stock Exchange may also launch a coffee table book that will contain the history of the exchange since its beginning, and the various landmarks that it has achieved to be among the world’s largest trading venue for equity derivatives.

NSE’s re-branding exercise will also take place at a time when the bourse is conducting an initial due diligence for a merger deal with Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). Like NSE, MCX is a leader in the commodity segment.
