OMC Stocks trade in the red, IOC falls over 1pc

Shares of Oil Marketing Companies (OMC) were trading in the red in Friday’s first afternoon session with their sectoral Energy index on NSE were trading 13 points lower at 16,146.25.

Shares of Indian Oil Corp (IOC) down 1.65%, Oil and Natural Corp (ONGC) down  0.66%, Bharat Petroleum Corp (BPCL) down 0.47% and Hindustan Petroleum Corp (HPCL)  down 0.38%, were the top performers in the index.  Tata Power and Reliance too were trading lower upto 0.34%. 

Meantime, key benchmark indices were trading higher with NSE Nifty50 index was up 49.85points at 11,646.55 while the BSE Sensex was up 170points at 38,777.73 at around 2.25pm.

Among the fifty stocks in the Nifty index, 29 stocks were trading in the green zone, while 21 stocks were in the red zone.
