Key Indices gained heavily in the early trades on Friday after expectation that Modi led BJP is expected to win the election battle in the states of Gujarat & Himachal Pradesh.
The benchmark BSE Sensex added 274.41 points to hit at 33,521.11 while the broader Nifty 50 index neared 10,345, rising by 92.25 points in later hours Friday.
Shares HDFC Bank rose 2.66%, Bajaj Auto spiked 2.34%, L&T rose 2.2%, Tata Steel rose 2% Tata Motors up 1.42% emerging as the top gainers on Sensex.
The stocks of blue-chip companies including HDFC Bank, HDFC, Reliance Industries, Larsen & Toubro, ICICI Bank, ITC, SBI, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors contributed the most to the Sensex upsurge.
