India’s leading vehicle maker Bajaj Auto Limited in a release on Tuesday announced the sales numbers of the company for the month of March. Accordingly, total sales, including commercial vehicles and motorcycles rose by 18% during March 2019 vis-a-vis the sales figure of March 2018.
The growth was achieved based on strong rise in March 2019 in domestic motor cycle sales which advanced by 39% and strong export volume of commercial vehicles. The company has sold 2,59,185 units in domestic market during March 2019, as against 2,03,600 units during March 2018.
The exports seen for 3% growth at 1,34,166 units during March 2019, v/s 130,748 units during March 2018. The commercial vehicles sales advanced by 8% in March 2019 at 69,813 units v/s 64,409 units in March 2018.
During mid-market, Tuesday, Bajaj Auto stock touched an intraday peak of Rs.2,938. At the time of writing this report, the stock price was at Rs.2668.25 down by 1.63% from its previous closing on the NSE.
