Shares of Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited (BHEL) advanced over 5% in the afternoon trade on Monday after the company posted a 49pc rise in its net profit at Rs682.70cr as against Rs457.17-cr, on year-on-year. Total operational revenue reportedly stood at Rs10297.16-cr, up about 1pc against Rs10213.97crore in the matching quarter of the previous fiscal. EBITDA for the quarter under review advanced 8pc to Rs1395.2cr Vs Rs1292cr in the year-ago period.
Meantime, the BHEL board has also proposed a final dividend of Rs1.20/share.
Shares of the BHEL climbed to the higher extent after the announcement of quarterly results. At 3.15am, BHEL was quoting at Rs72.75 per share up by Rs3.75 or 5.43% with bench mark Nifty at 11924-level up 80 points and the Sensex at 39649-level up by 214 points.
