Shares of JK Lakshmi Cement rose 2.13% to Rs 314.40-per share, Heidelberg Cement India rose 4.62% to Rs194.90, Kakatiya Cement rose 10.98% to Rs 228.50,
Orient Cement advanced 7.87% to Rs.82.95, Barak Valley Cements rose 4.47% to Rs.13.25-per share on the NSE during the first afternoon hours of trade.
Further, Deccan Cements added 4.75% to Rs 322.75, Sagar Cements surged 3.02% to Rs.574, Ramco Cements rose 2.38% to Rs 807.45, Ambuja Cements advanced 1.56% to Rs202.10 and Anjani Portland Cement went up 4.40% to Rs 156.50-per share. Meantime, benchmark indices reduced some early losers with the Sensex quoting at 40769-mark, down by 102 points and the Nifty marked at 12006-level down 46-pts, at 2.45-pm,
Sectorally the Nifty IT index witness some buying, while the remaining Nifty sectoral indices are seeing in the red.
Among Nifty gainers, Ultratech Cement, along with Bharti Airtel, TCS, Yes Bank were leading with gains while Eicher Motors, Coal India and IOC were among top Nifty losers.
