Nifty and Sensex have opened trade higher on Friday, following the strong buying in Metal stocks, Pharma stocks, and Banking sectors. The BSE Sensex is trading higher at 33,630 levels while the NSE Nifty is trading at 10,440 levels in the later morning hours.

Share price of Bharti Airtel surged 2.7% in the early trade on the reports that Bharti Telecom, the promoter & holding Co. of Bharti Airtel will buy 4.6 pct stakes in India’s largest telecom operator from a group company namely ICIL (Indian Continent Investment Ltd) at Rs. 435.37 share apiece, in place of the earlier announced Rs. 417.35 apiece.

Akzo Nobel India has posted that it has a decline of 6.73 percent in its standalone net profit at Rs. 38.79 Cr for the Q2 FY17 due to high raw materials cost.
Glenmark Pharma has reported a 4.23 percent fall in its consolidated net profit to Rs 214.12 Cr for the Q2 FY2017.
