The Sensex, Nifty closed with hefty gains on Wednesday aided by strong positive global cues. The NSE 30-share index regained 41K in the last hour of trading session mainly led by gains mainly in auto, IT and banking stocks.
The Sensex scaled higher by 199.31 points at 41021.61 whereas the Nifty climbed at 12,101.70 up by 63 points. With a positive market trend, about 900 shares rose on the NSE and about 865 shares declined.
Barring Media and Realty, all the sectoral indices in the NSE advanced with significant gains in PSU bank and Auto, up by 1.77 & 1.27%, respectively.
Yes Bank emerged the top gainer in the Nifty50, jumping 8.31%, followed by UltraTech, SBI and Maruti-Suzuki and Hindalco.
On the flip, Bharti Infratel slipped 3.2%, followed by Cipla, L&T, ITC and ICICI Bank closed lower in the range of 1 to 2-pc, respectively. For Free stock tips and top stock tips visit our website.
