Following a recovery in Asian stocks, Indian stock benchmark trade higher on Friday.
The Indian rupee also opened up by 21-ps at 74.77/USD on Friday against Thursday’s close of 74.98.
At 10.35-am, The Sensex was trading with gains of 418 points at 28707, while the NSE Nifty was higher by 313-pts to 8395-mark.
Shares in Gail India (up 10.37-pc) were among the top gainers from the Nifty pack of stocks, followed by ONGC, Infosys, TechMahidnra, and IT up between 7 and 6 percent each. Get the updated best stocks to buy tips from the expert.
On the downside, IndusInd bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Titan and Kotak Bank were among the top losers.
Majority of the sectoral Nifty indices trading in the green with maximum gains in IT, FMCG, Media, Metal and Pharma, up by 5 and 3 percent each. On the other hand, Nifty bank, Financial service, Private bank, and Realty are on the downside up to 2 percent.
