Bank shares were trading in downward trajectory during Tuesday’s morning session with Nifty Bank index falling 0.62% at 31,176.50 with almost all the components trading in the loss.
Shares of YesBank down 5.31%, ICICI bank down 1.10%, IDFC First bank 1.02% and PNB 0.80% as major index losers in the Nifty bank Index.
Also, Kotak Bank, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Bank of Baroda, Federal bank and IndusIndBank were trading in lower range between 0.28% and 0.75%
NSE’s Benchmark index Nifty50 was down by 35 points at 11830.40 while BSE Sensitive index Sensex down 132 points at 39553.82 at around 11.45am.
Leading set of losers on NSE were YesBank, SunPharma, Tata Motors and Bajaj Auto while UPL, ONGC, Bharti Airtel and BPCL.
Meantime, some key stocks touched their 52-week lows on the NSE, which include Glenmark Pharma, TVS Motor Company, Cox & Kings, IIFL Finance, Healthcare Global Enterprises,MonteCarlo, QuessCorp, Simplex Infrastructures, Eros-International Media and Capital Trust.
