The stock markets on Friday recovered from the previous days’ falls, after a volatile start in the very morning with the BSE Sensex rising over 1,500 points during mid-session.
At 1.20-pm, the Sensex was trading at 29,841.30, higher by 1553 points or 5.49-pc from Thursday’s close of 28,288
The index opened at 28,460.82 and has thus far crossed at a peak level of 29,917 and a low of 27,932.

The buying force was visible in the majority of the sectoral indices led by a 10.93-pc jump in the Nifty IT index. Metal, Pharma, Banking, and media also witness a positive move up.
The major gainers on the Nifty were ONGC, Gail India, Wipro, TCS, and Infosys, while IndusInd Bank, was the only one loser.
