Nifty, Sensex Open Green, Metal-Stocks rise


Markets benchmark indices – the Sensex & Nifty- were trading in the upper circuit in the morning session, Monday. The BSE Sensex was trading at 38,342.57 up 215-points and the Nifty50 of the NSE was also at 11371, up 65 points at around 10.55 am.

On the Nifty pack of stocks, TataMotors added 5.56-pc, Tata Steel advanced 3.75pc, Vedanta rose 3.3pc, JSW Steel rose 3.08pc and IndusInd bank rose 2.81pc as major gainers. On the other hand, Infosys slipped 2.8-pc, UPL down 1.42-pc and Cipla down 1.06-pc as major losers.

Excluding Nifty IT, all the sectoral indices are trading higher, with Metal & Realty and were outperforming the sectoral stocks in today’s trading session.

The Nifty-Metal index added near 1.9-pc boosted by signs of progress in China & the United State trade worries. The Metal index traded at 2,380-level, with almost all constituents are advancing. Take Best Equity Tips  from the experts.

Among major gainers on Nifty-Metal, Jindal-Steel rose over 5pc, TataSteel, JSW-Steel, Vedanta and SAIL rose in between 2 to 3.4-pc in range.

Shares of Infosys Ltd see a weak trade despite the I.T. major announced strong results on Friday. The stock was trading lower during the mid-morning session at Rs.791.75/-, down 2.83-pc, whereas Tata Consultancy Service (TCS), Wipro, HCL Tech, TechMahindra and TataElxsi were trading on the higher side.
