NSE, BSE Closed Today on account of Bakri Id

On the occasion of Bakri Id, Indian stock markets National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) were shut on Wednesday. The BSE benchmark ended a flat note on Tuesday closing at 38,285.75 higher by 7 points or 0.02% while NSE Nifty50 gained 11,570.90 up by 19.15 points or 0.17%.

The dollar dropped on Wednesday, as comments of U.S President Trump, on the monetary policy continued to weigh on the U.S dollar, and markets awaited U.S China trade discussions and Federal Reserve minutes for directional signals.

In global market space, Gold takes a hit in prices to levels close to USD 1200 as dollar has made stronger against a basket of currencies.

In Indian markets, Gold prices have plunged to 8-month low mark, however in Tuesday’s session gold traded higher. Also, festive buying season heightened the sentiment and Gold prices picked up with gains of Rs.180 at Rs. 30,600 per ten gram.
