Both in Sensex and Nifty, there is not a single gainer. Top Nifty-fifty gainers were JSW Steel, Vedanta, Tata Steel, Hindalco Industries, and Tata Motors down between 5 to 7.35 percent.
In the Forex market, the rupee edged lower Vs the dollar. The rupee fell by 21pse at 71.87, while Gold surged over 2 percent to its peak in over 7 years in the international market at USD1,678.58.
