One of India’s public sector Bank, the Bank of Baroda has announced that it has received capital infusion of Rs.7000-cr from the Government of India.
In a filing to the exchange, Bank of Baroda informed that the ministry of Finance, govt of India according to the gazette notification dated 27th September 2019 has intimated its decision to infuse capital of Rs.7000crore in Bank of Baroda.
The Fund infusion will be through preferential allotment of equity shares including Special Securities, Bonds, of the Bank during the the financial year 2019-20.
Stock of Bank of Bank of Baroda reacted the news in today’s trading session. On Tuesday, first October, the shares of Bank of Baroda hit an intraday-high of Rs.94.80 in comparison with its previous closing price of Rs.93 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
