Indian shares opened lower on Monday led by major selling pressure in metal stocks along with Banking.
At 10.30-am, the BSE Sensex traded 104 points lower to 41,508 while the Nifty50 of the NSE traded at 12,212-mark, down 36 points.
Nifty Metal under-performed, down 1.87 percent, whereas while Nifty Realty outperformed in the very morning session. Later, the Nifty PSU-Bank-index slipped the most down by 1.27 percent.
Major gainers in the Nifty 50, it appears Ultra-tech Cement, ICICI Bank, Mahindra and Mahindra, Grasim and Axis Bank. Major set of losers were JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Vedanta, Hindalco and Kotak Mahindra bank.
